Davis Museum at Wellesley College: Double Solitaire: The Surreal Worlds of Kay Sage and Yves Tanguy Exhibition
This is the first major touring exhibition exploring the dynamic exchange of ideas that shaped the landscapes of the surrealist artists: Kay Sage and Yves Tanguy. Sage and Tanguy were married for 15 years before Tanguy's death in 1955. They communicated with each other only in French and they sought to create paintings that were influenced by poetry and dreamlike imagery.
