Feb. 7th Benefit for NY's Classic Stage

Bloom

"Arguably the most influential critic of the last quarter century.
He elevates critical writing to the level of literature itself."
- The New York Times Book Review

On Monday, February 7th at 7pm, Harold Bloom, America's leading literary critic and author of the best-seller "Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human," will join Classic Stage Company's Artistic Director Brian Kulick in a rare public appearance. Bloom and Kulick will discuss Shakespeare's late collaborations with John Fletcher on The Two Noble Kinsmen and the lost play, Cardenio, upon which the play Double Falsehood is believed to be based.

This promises to be a provocative and insightful look into the last and least fully-understood phase of Shakespeare's writing career, in a one-night-only event to benefit Classic Stage Company's ongoing Shakespeare programming.

Benefit Sponsorships to this event are $500 per person, which includes: Premier Seating (exclusively arranged by the box office, and available for pick up on 2/7), a private post-performance champagne reception & book signing with Professor Bloom, and 2 Premium tickets to our 2011 Mainstage production of Double Falsehood. ($370 tax-deductible for each ticket purchased.)

Benefit Tickets to this event are $150 per person, which includes one ticket to this event. ($120 tax-deductible for each ticket purchased.)
