Sure I waste time
Big time
But not as much
As I would like

Just routine stuff
The daily grind
Nothing all that great
Mostly quotidian
Since last March
Recovering from surgery
Five sets of exercises
That’s a big chunk
Can’t mess up
Or slack off
Come a long way
Day after day
Then news on line
First thing in the morning
Eagle, Globe, CNN, NYT
In that order
Not much info
Globe’s a hoax
Lately Washington Post
For real
Got a good deal
Buck a week
Hide and seek
Best for politics
Sports from the Herald
Wrote for them
Back in the day
When it was a real paper
Something you could
Sink your teeth into
Hardly anything worth
Reading anymore
What with all the cutbacks
Just fake news
Creepy pundits
Spewing bullshit
Checking the Dow
Gavel to gavel
That drives you nuts
Rich one day poor the next
Then our website
Feeding the daily beast
Our stuff and contributors
Looking at e mail
Notes unanswered
Nobody has time
Or inclination
So I sit and fret
Ever more upset
Yet another day
Slip slides away
Quick make haste
No time to waste
