British Invasion at the Clark
Shagadelic Baby

The folks at the Clark Art Institute in otherwise upper crust Williamstown know how to let their hair down. Dowagers mixed it up with hipsters out on the dance floor. There was a mix of Beatles, the Who, Stones and the Animals.
As Austin Powers, he of the really bad teeth would say "Strictly shagadelic baby."
On the walls of the atrium high above the dance floor were projected videos of British bands from the 1960s. On the floor a largely young crowd did their best to recall the era of go go boots and Carnaby Street attire.
There was a craft table set up where guests could string their own love beads. The food also adopted to the theme with fish and ships as well as bangers. The bar featured Pimm's and Black and Tans among other potions.
The best feature of the evening was the affordable price. Just ten dollars and a discount of eight dollars for members. This surely enticed a young and hip crowd on a stormy night.
During the dead of winter the Clark and Mass MoCA break up the gloom and cabin fever with just fabulous dance parties. Groovy man.
