Universal Knowledge

Universal Knowledge
Like the universe
Knowledge is ever expanding
Each day something new
Either by concerted effort
Or media bombardment
Knowing way too much
Gooey trivial details
What seems important
Chatter and gossip
Noise as news
Entertaining information
The View
Lost in black hole
Space time continuum
Zillions of galaxies
We but a blip
Numbing insignificance
All we hold dear
Friends and family
That vague term
Loved ones
Lacking weight or permanence
Just flick and flash
Our very selves
Last gasp of
The Big Bang
From which even stars
Burn out and go dark
While their light
Traveling since time itself
Flickering night sky
At least for now
Compared to which
All else
Dims to insignificance
