Family excursions
Not our style
But the water
Pounding down
Miraculously
Cascading over us
In blue plastic
Sailing close
Overwhelmingly
Towering above
Maid of the Mist
Astrid in tears
Pure joy
Awed by nature
Once again
Close to the falls
The sound deafening
Faces drenched
Cave of the Winds
Bursting spray
Red hot blood
Pumping through us
Hearts bursting
Moving on
In a big loop
Thousand Islands
Ending in
Erotic Montreal
Then middle aged
Looking back
What irony
So very young
Compared to now
The passion we
Knew under a
Curtain of water
Still lingers
Mythic mist
Morning dew
