3rd NO KINGS DAY
NOW A World-Wide Movement

3rd NO KINGS! DAY Protests, March 28, 2026 – 8 to 9 Million Participants in 50 States
A small headline of a New York Times article on Sunday, March 29 at 7:48 a.m. declared misleadingly that 'thousands of people took part in No Kings rallies across the U.S. yesterday to protest much of President Trump’s second-term agenda.’ - Then they posted a photo of one rally.
Wrong! There were between 8 to 9 Million protesters and perhaps 3.300 locations where the population protested, held rallies, and demonstrations! We learned that: two-thirds of all protests happened outside of major urban areas. Americans everywhere are awake, declaring themselves as: ‘We the People.’
8 to 9 Million made declarations, not reactions: Declarations against the unlawful spate of Trumps directives and Executive Orders; too many illegal actions; the cruelty and murderous behavior of ICE; the war against immigrants; Concentration Camps, so called Detention Centers, are for profit; Court Orders disregarded; and finally a profitable war for a few, The Illegal War Against Iran!
It is alleged that Benjamin Netanyahu, of Israel, and Mohammed bin Salman(MlB), of Saudi Arabia, urged President Trump to follow suit to Israel’s attacks against Iran. That, perhaps, was the beginning, and see where the USA and the world is heading now!
He did follow suit -- and the President did not inform Congress. Since the majority in Congress is held by Republicans, the MAGA Senators and Representatives have not stopped the war or any (?) of the illegal activities by the Administration.
The President also did not inform the American public. Yet the USA is paying more than 1 Billion Dollars per day from all our taxes and borrowed money! (And another year’s Tax-deadline is fast approaching.) Budgets of educational, social, health care, National Emergencies, climate control, and many other public assistance as well as American’s owed benefits have been slashed by this Administration and Congress. 330 Million people who are living in the US are affected and suffering because of this war. Stop The War Now!
The hard work to oppose this Administration, however, begins now! Progressive online voices are many, and we all read or act as we choose. If you wish to broaden your outreach, Steve Brodner added a list of 60 plus trustworthy names, websites and podcasts. There is real/truthful information written or posted from many points of view. -- I also follow right-wing or -leaning political information, besides the obvious chaos producing daily posts by the President.
In the Northern Berkshires we have Greylock Together, as part of Indivisible, an umbrella organization, and smaller groups such as Good Action. Throughout the Berkshires other organizations, like the Berkshire Immigrant Center, exist to do good work in support of Democracy!
I had contacted friends and colleagues in Europe and learned that Berlin, Germany, had a little advertised demonstration of perhaps 200 participants. Other cities such as Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Wiesbaden and Bremen also demonstrated in Germany. They are saying YES to Democracies and NO to Fascism. Under the US banner of NO KINGS! the opposition is growing world-wide, as I read in German posts.
Then, I received the following report from Robert Rendo, who currently lives in France:
On March 28, 2026, a protest took place in the French city of Bordeaux between 2:30 PM and 4:40 PM in front of the city's Opera House and The Grand Hotel at Place de la Comedie. About 85 protesters in the City of Bordeaux, France, gathered to protest the Trump Administration's heinous, illegal actions in a continued stream of varied chants demanding NO KINGS!
The participants were French, American, British, and from various other countries throughout the world. Most of them were expatriates who have resettled in France but who are still unwavering motivated to improve the American condition. The protest was achieved, in part, by the organized efforts of Democrats Abroad, an association that helps Americans advocate through the Democratic Party. In addition, a permit with the local precinct had been filed to permit the demonstration, which was peaceful and highly visible, drawing crowds from the shopping sector known as Rue Saint Katherine, the Grand Hotel, the Opera House, and Bordeaux's frequent trams.
Participants exercised their right of free expression, generating political solidarity. "It is not the organization's first demonstration, and it will by no means be our last," said Robert Rendo, an American living in Bordeaux. "And many French people see it also as a parable to prevent fascism from creeping into France." – Please see photographs from Bordeaux as part of the above photo series.
We received other media posts from France. Here, now, an excerpt:
Several hundred people, mostly Americans living in France, were joined for the first time by French labor unions and human rights organizations gathered at the Bastille on Saturday, 3/28, for a 'No Kings' rally. This rally is part of a broader wave of protests against the American President, Donald Trump, and his Administration.
Protests took also place in several major European cities in solidarity with the protests happening all across the United States. In Paris this was the third No Kings demonstration to be held. Participants opposed Trump's policies and some raised their concern against the rise of far-right-movements across the world.
And our friend, Brian Cunningham, wrote from Bellingham, Washington State, where he went to a rally with his children and grand-children:
Bellingham is a city of approximately 97,000. The No Kings rally was estimated to have attracted roughly 6,000 participants. Though not that big a turnout relative to Seattle, in comparison to its total population, it was significant. It was a cloudy cool day, which made marching from a park down near the waterfront to city hall and back again not too burdensome to a pair of old legs. I was immediately struck by the positive atmosphere, the wide variety of ages among attendees and the signs carried by most participants. Popular grievances were the administration's lack of regard for the constitution, disregard for human rights, the use of ICE, the war against Iran and the treatment of immigrants.
Having felt frustrated and powerless, so far, during Trump’s presidency, getting together with a group of citizens had a very positive impact on my outlook. People are angered enough to resist and hopefully it becomes a catalyst for change in the mid-term elections.’
In the Berkshires, we saw protest signs, such as: Democracy is not a Spectator Sport; A Woman’s Place is in the Resistance; No Kings, only Queens, Protect Trans Rights; Not in my Name – Ice – Free the Disappeared! And my favorite button in response to the President’s and MAGA claims: that ‘we are killing for peace!’ Well: Killing For Peace Is Like Screwing For Virginity - was written on the button.
The Berkshires had nine or more demonstrations on Saturday, 3/28, starting in South County early and ending in Williamstown in the North. (MA had 126 protests registered, next to CA the most of any other state.) I participated in the North Adams protest/event and it happened without an incident. Organizers posted a sign which read: ‘Only peaceful – non violent attendees welcome. No weapons allowed at this event. Thank You !’ Perhaps the swell of protesters was as large as the second No Kings Rally in 2025. -- See our series of photos above. -- And Thank You, Danke, and Merci to all who contributed to this report!
Finally, we are not aware of negative interference anywhere in the USA.
Peace was also the mantra world-wide!
