Laundry washed and folded
The grinding reality
Actual lives
Utterly devoid
Of metaphors
Drudgery of surviving
Getting by
Little pleasures
The occasional better meal
A few pints at the pub
Something on TV
Rutting to make children
Devoid of
Highfaluting
Grandiosity
Triumph of the ordinary
Servant in the court of
Pharaoh
Not buried
With exotic treasures
No Canopic jars
For the heroic
Everyman
