“Recent Paintings – Alvin Ouellet” is on display for all of May at Images Cinema, 50 Spring Street, Williamstown, MA. 

Alvin Ouellet is an Adams-based painter, printmaker and digital artist. His body of work includes en plein air paintings, studio paintings, prints, digital drawing and collage. 

Ouellet’s approach to natural and urban landscapes is through the lens of curvilinear perspective incorporating closely observed color and value inferences that induce a sense of gestural movement to envelop and engage the viewer.

Alvin Ouellet’s recent exhibitions include a solo show in 2019 entitled “Adams Future Perfect” at Real Eyes Gallery in Adams, MA. His work was selected in 2020 for the “Berkshire Narratives – Art of the Hills” group show at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA. 

Following his current show at Images Cinema, his work has been selected for the 2022 “Art of the Hills, Visual Evidence” group show at the Berkshire Museum beginning June 4th through September 11th”2022.  In July 2022, Ouellet will exhibit recent works in the “Artists of the Thursday Chinese Dinner” group show at the Berkshire Art Museum in North Adams, MA.

Alvin Ouellet obtained a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in 1987 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in 1985 from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt), in Boston MA; and an Associate of Arts degree in 1976 from Becker College in Leicester MA.  From 1986 – 2017 Ouellet taught painting and printmaking as an Adjunct Professor at MassArt while concurrently the Studio Manager of the MassArt Printmaking Department.
