Williamstown Bistro Reopens June 7

Mezze Restaurant Group announced Mezze Bistro + Bar will be open for business at 16 Water Street through Sunday, May 16 when it will serve its last Comfort Sunday meal of the season. Mezze Bistro + Bar will reopen to the public at its new location at 777 Cold Spring Road (Route 7) in Williamstown on Monday, June 7. Mezze Bistro + Bar will be closed for two weeks to complete the transition and will be hosting a fully booked college graduation weekend from June 4-6.
The change in location is part of Mezze’s overall strategy to provide superior service and amenities to its customers. “Our new location provides a wonderful setting to our overall dining experience with a true connection to nature,” said Thomas. “Guests are going to be very excited as we grow into the property with edible gardens, sustainable landscaping and expanded outdoor dining.”
Mezze Restaurant Group purchased the 777 Cold Spring Road property, formerly known as Le Jardin (and more recently Jae’s of Williamstown), in April of 2009. The past several months have been dedicated to sprucing up the property with interior and exterior renovations that are in keeping with sustainable building practices.
“The Cold Spring Road property aligns our values and mission with the greater goal of food as culture,” said Nancy Thomas, co-owner of Mezze Restaurant Group. “This move allows us to better put into practice our farm-to-table mission and our relationship to the environment,” she added.
Mezze Bistro + Bar serves Contemporary American cuisine highlighting the best of the season in support of independent farmers and artisan producers using sustainable practices. The food is handcrafted by Chef Joji Sumi who takes great care to source local and seasonal ingredients including farm-fresh produce, meats, cheeses and breads. Menu items are paired alongside seasonal and small-production wines.
