VAN DYKE & TALBOTT is a musical writing team whose work has inspired and entertained audiences for over a decade. Their songs are known for being pop-infused melodies anchored within stories that explore a soulful and deep experiment in dramatizing and celebrating every corner of the human experience. JOY MACHINE RECORDS is a record label seeking to change the way we think about theater music. A new venture from Ian Kagey, Sonny Paladino, Brian Usifer and Will Van Dyke, the focus is on providing services that amplify the voices of new artists within the field of musical theater, releasing cast albums for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, as well as collaborating on solo albums. The label’s services support a developing musical from inception through its cast album. Artists will be greeted with kindness and transparency as they explore the best solutions for their unique musical projects. Joy Machine services provide the ability for artists who have typically worked within the space of musical theater to explore where they fit within the recorded music industry. BARRINGTON STAGE COMPANY (Pittsfield, MA) — Barrington Stage Company (BSC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Alan Paul, is thrilled to announce the world premiere of fuzzy, a new musical with music and lyrics by Will Van Dyke and book and lyrics by Jeff Talbott, playing July 8–27, 2025, on the St. Germain Stage (36 Linden Street).
fuzzy is directed by acclaimed off-Broadway and downtown theatre artist Ellie Heyman (Space Dogs, The Great Work Begins) and features a cast led by Broadway favorites John Cariani (Something Rotten!, Almost, Maine) and Cass Morgan (Memphis, The Bridges of Madison County) and off-Broadway rising star Teddy Yudain (Little Shop of Horrors, The Apple Boys). The show will feature music direction by Patrick Sulken (Pretty Woman, Little Shop of Horrors).
Heartfelt and hilarious, fuzzy explores the unexpected friendship between two people navigating grief, joy, memory, and the wild winds of life. Featuring an original score that blends warmth, wit, and whimsy, the musical offers a poignant reminder that connection can be found in the most unexpected places—even in a squirrel.
