Shark by the Lighthouse!
It's a Sunfish
By: Charles Giuliano - Jun 02, 2015
by the yacht club
they are flying too low
helicopter
circling
looking
police boat
harbormaster
circling
looking
is it a lost swimmer
channel sixteen
directs people
to channel fourteen
all boats in the area
keep your eyes open
for what
O it is a sunfish
whose fin
was mistaken
for a Great White
they are all over
the South Shore
only the government
spends money that way
This is Ipswich Bay
There are sharks
the private guy
has an eighty-six foot
silver Domino named
Excellence IV
with twenty foot long
windows at the waterline
Three days later
by the lighthouse
the fin of the
sunfish
Four days later
in the red and white
cooler
the thirteen pound
live lobster
in the fish tote
the ten pound
turquoise blue
lobster
Sata! already five
people called in
about the shark
--three on the beach
and two in the water
our dad told us
he watches the news a lot
There's a shark
by the lighthouse!
It's a sunfish...
