Like himself Dad
Wanted me to be a surgeon
Downright insisted on it
Him and me in the OR
Side by side
Gowned and gloved
Blood and guts
Masterful incisions
As he demonstrated
From time to time
More often than not
Passing out or throwing up
Beat some sense in me
When I refused
No Dad says I
Full of defiance
When I grow up
Want to be a sturgeon
Master of sturgery

Wet and wild
Flipping all about
Frolicking night and day
Sleek as all getout
Slicing through water
Cool as a flipper
Making mighty waves

Free as can be
Much more fun
Than slicing up stuff

Be a blimey fish
