Proud of it
Depression years
During day gig
Chatting with co worker
Comrade and red
Disdained a nearby
Lumpen prol
Freddy said
Everyone’s interesting
For some reason
Called him over
Discussed his hobby
Raising pigeons
On the roof
Like Brando in
On the Waterfront
Came to work
The next day
A bird in his shirt
Beaming for his friends
Tossed it out the window
It will be home
Waiting for me
When I get there
He said proudly
With nothing to lose
But his chains

"Charles, having read both stories, I think the pair of them have a future as a grist for someone's movie company. I "see" intriguing and interesting characters just waiting for someone to craft them into movie script form. Try the film schools for a tyro who just wants to direct and another who just wants to write."
