By: - Aug 08, 2025

Barrington Stage Company announces two dazzling evenings of Broadway talent at Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, headlined by two of the Great White Way’s brightest stars:

Beloved Broadway icon Andrea McArdle, the original “Annie,” returns to Mr. Finn’s Cabaret for “An Evening with Andrea McArdle" on Sunday, August 24 and Monday, August 25 at 8:00 p.m.

Then, rising star Julie Benko, acclaimed for her breakout turn in Funny Girl, takes the stage with her celebrated show "Julie Benko: A Star is Born" on Thursday, September 4 and Friday, September 5 at 8:00 p.m.

“An Evening with Andrea McArdle”

A celebrated icon of the American musical theater, Andrea McArdle became a household name at just 13 years old when she originated the role of Annie on Broadway, earning a Tony Award nomination and captivating audiences with her powerhouse voice. Over the decades, she has starred in numerous Broadway and national touring productions including Starlight Express, Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Jerry’s Girls, and State Fair, and has made countless appearances on television and in concert halls around the world.

Her new show is an unforgettable evening of song and storytelling. Audiences can expect a night filled with classic Broadway show tunes, '70s throwbacks, personal reflections on Annie, tributes, and behind-the-scenes tales of working alongside legends such as Liberace, Mohamed Ali, Johnny Carson, Carol Channing, and rubbing elbows with John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and more.

“Julie Benko: A Star is Born”

The Broadway starlet, whose meteoric rise following her turns in Funny Girl and Barry Manilow’s Harmony, returns to Mr. Finn’s Cabaret after stepping into her newest role: mom. Accompanied by award-winning jazz pianist (and her baby-daddy/spouse) Jason Yeager, Benko gives her most personal and heartfelt performance yet, offering mesmerizing new interpretations of standards (“Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man,” “A Sleepin’ Bee”), contemporary favorites (“You’ll Be In My Heart”), musical theater classics (“Children Will Listen”), and more. Join Julie for a transcendent evening as she explores the challenges and joys of this transformational period in her life with her sterling vocals and signature humor. But be warned: You may leave with baby fever!

Julie is thrilled to return to Barrington Stage, where she originated the role of Rebeca Frankel in The Golem of Havana in 2014, and performed her cabaret Standby, Me last year. Benko has released 3 studio albums with her pianist-composer spouse Jason Yeager, which are available wherever music is streaming. She enjoys a vibrant concert career, having headlined sold-out solo shows at venues around the country and performing as a guest artist with numerous symphonies.

“These two extraordinary women represent the very best of Broadway,” said Artistic Director Alan Paul. “We’re honored to welcome them to Mr. Finn’s Cabaret and give our audiences the rare opportunity to experience their talents up close in such a unique setting.”

Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, located in the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, offers an intimate performance space where Broadway legends and rising stars shine just a few feet away from the audience.

The 2025 Mr. Finn’s Cabaret Series is sponsored by Renee and Steven Finn, Judy and Marty Isserlis, and Berkshire Money Management.
