That never was
No fault of ours

Glorious as ever
Wonderful Sunday drives
Exploring hither and yon
Roads less traveled
Poking about
Visiting golf courses
Dining with friends
Social distanced
Unmasked menu
Such magnificent views
Manicured greens
Distant mountains
Peace in the valley
Along Mohawk Trail
Walks in the woods
Yesterday in Pownal
Meeting friends
In their garage
An elderly couple
Us not quite
Getting there for sure
Missing the arts
No music at Tanglewood
Dance at Jacob’s Pillow
Nights in theatre
Nothing like that
No nothing at all
With a weary sigh
Maybe next year
Or perhaps not
When will it end
Staying distracted
Busy beavers
Working on projects
Night and day
Making some progress
Trying to stay calm
Enduring masked madness
Last of fresh corn
Tomato platters
Succulent summer suppers
Welcome now to fall
Cool sleeping nights
When winter spreads
Its white blanket
Over our slumber
With no end in sight
Not so merry Christmas
