Boston Red Flops

Curse of the Bambino Strikes Out Again and Again

By: - Sep 29, 2011

Sox Sox Sox

This season was over before it got started.

I told you so.

Back on April 16 right here in Berkshire Fine Arts.

But you just wouldn't listen.

Yeah right, like that he heck do I know about baseball?

Well, more than Terry Francona actually.

They call him Tito.

He's been great.

That was then and this is now.

Toast.

Hey Tito close the door behind you on the way out.

Thanks for the memories.

Awesome man.

The thrill of victory and agony of defeat.

It all came down to the ninth last night.

One friggin game.

Nice curtain call for yet another agonizing season.

Same result.

Eating humble pie.

Kicking the water cooler. Pissed.

If you don't believe I have  crystal balls here is the link to that April prediction.

Original text reprinted below. Read this and weap.

Yeah , yeah, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah.

It’s only April.

Off to a slow start. Of Epic proportions. One for the record books.

Two for ten.

Good grief.

Irony is the only team they have beaten is the Yankees.

Twice.

Opening day at Fenway the first lonely win of the season.

El foldo everwhere else home and on the road.

Even Cleveland.

As my buddy Phil the potter from Ohio likes to rub it in.

Salt in the wound.

Is this the same team that was widely picked, pre season, to go all the way to the World Series?

Again.

The only speculation appeared to focus on the eventual opponent.

Word from the dugout is that everyone is working their tail off.

Sure. Got that.

Not good enough.

We are used to the season ending el foldo.

Been there done that.

Bucky Dent.

But a pratfall out of the gate.

No, this is something new.

Even for the sox.

It ain’t even Memorial Day but.

Wait till next year.
