Wet pails filled
Inverted edifices
Medieval villages
Where myths reside
Washed away
Our fantasies
Leveled by waves
Now 83 can you see
Just a few daze
Annual celebration
Paella paired with
Chateau Neuf du Pape
Nothing but the best
For our guests
Pennie bakes cake
Toasts with the host
Fail not our feast
Macbeth to Banquo
So shall it be
Betwixt you and me
Coven of weird sisters
Come gather round
Still above ground
Edge of time and space
Single grain of sand
From billions on beach
Where humans still
Ravage and roam
Wars abroad
Hate at home
Before cosmos went dark
We ruled the earth
Glutted with pride
Squeezed it dry
Our tiny planet
Edge of a galaxy
Spec in the universe
Little or nothing
Be you and me
When time is told
We’re getting old
