Châteauneuf-du-Pape, November 2, 2026

Beaucastel, the Perrin family's iconic estate located just a few dozen kilometers from Avignon, was named "Best Wine in the World 2026" today by American critic James Suckling. The honor is a crowning achievement for this Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate and for the entire appellation.

Out of the thousands of wines James Suckling tasted around the world this year, the one singled out was Beaucastel's flagship red, vintage 2024, which earned a score of 99/100.

The critic explains:
"I started coming to Beaucastel in 1985, and the position of the estate, the winery, the family and their wines have always impressed me. Their wines, both red and white, are consistently outstanding and made to drink."

"At Beaucastel, preserving our natural ecosystem is at the heart of our work to create wines that stay true to their terroir. This award shines a spotlight on our appellation and validates the pioneering choices of previous generations, who have always put nature at the center of our priorities,"
said Charles Perrin.

AN EXCEPTIONAL ESTATE, TRUE TO ITS CONVICTIONS.
Located in the northern part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, between Orange and Avignon, Beaucastel has been writing its history since the 16th century. It is renowned for the precision and longevity of its wines, as well as its commitment to farming that respects nature. A true pioneer in France, the estate has farmed its vines organically since 1950 and biodynamically since 1970, and grows all thirteen grape varieties permitted in the appellation side by side.
