Stumped for a present
Charged one at Mr. Jacob’s drugstore
He wrapped it nicely
Too expensive for my allowance
She was pleased
Until the bill came
Following year
I would love something you make
Out in the alley behind our house
Found a nice big rock
Cleaned it up real good
Painted a head of Santa on it
Wrapped it best I could
Not easy
Handed it over
Christmas morning
Beaming with pride
