Rare Plants And Garden Antiques

Chaired by Bunny Williams, the anticipated yearly event, Trade Secrets, will take place on both Saturday and Sunday, May 13th and 14th. The event features 'rare plants' and 'garden antiques', whose sale benefits Women's Support Services.

Women's Support Services seeks to create a community free of domestic violence and abuse through intervention, prevention and education. They offer free, confidential, client-centered services focused on safety, support advocacy and community outreach.

The Saturday event takes place at Lion Rock Farm in Sharon, Ct. Founder Bunny Williams and husband, John Rosselli's garden has been a tour highlight since its inception in 2000.

Saturday features 60 vendors who specialize in the oddities of rare plants, seeds and garden design using antiques and choice, one-of-a-kind items.

Sunday's venue focuses on a self-guided tour of four of Litchfield Hills spectacular gardens.

Due to popular demand, the garden tour tickets will only be sold on advance ($75).

Tickets for Saturday's rare plant and garden antique sale at Lion Rock Farm can be purchased in advance or the day of: Early Bird that includes a continental breakfast and takes place from 8-10am ($125). Regular admission from 10am-3pm is $50 and late bloomer admission from 1-3pm is $25.

Trade Secrets weekend offers the garden enthusiast a chance to come in contact with those rare garden products and antiques that could turn your home garden into one that stands out from the others. Vendors represent small nurseries that sell rare plants and rare seeds, garden furniture, wrought iron fencing, garden antiques and garden statues.

And you never know, you may bump into Martha Stewart, as she, too, shops the show to enhance her gardens.
