NightWood: An Outdoor Sound and Light Experience

Thursday – Sunday evenings starting at 5:00 PM
Adults $20, Youth (5-18) $10, Free for children 5 and under
Please join us for the second year of our fantastical winter landscape inspired by The Mount’s unique architecture and history. NightWood combines music, lighting, and theatrical elements to create seven unique scenes that evoke feelings of wonder, mystery, and magic. Beyond the Writing of Fiction Series

Writer and book coach Courtney Maum is thrilled to speak with guests from across the literary stratosphere on The Mount's monthly series focused on the craft of writing. The breadth and diversity of the guests is a nod to Edith Wharton's own affection for various forms of writing.

Home: A Celebration with Charlotte Moss & Susan Wissler

What is home to you? Could any question be more fundamental? The Mount's Susan Wissler is among the many voices answering this question in the new book HOME: A CELEBRATION by Charlotte Moss. One of Moss’s inspirations for this project is Edith Wharton’s The Book of the Homeless (1916), a successful fundraising effort that aided refugees and children during the First World War.
