The annual Open Studios is a much anticipated and popular event. It provides an opportunity for the community to meet artists in studios where work is created.

There are 40, generously scaled, live/ work units. The complex is one of several 19th century industrial buildings in the area which have been reconfigured for the arts. The vast MASS MoCA campus was originally home to Arnold Print Works and later the Sprague Electric Company.

In the 19th century, the industry of Northern Berkshire County entailed aspects of processing cotton. The Eclipse Mill produced thread which was woven elsewhere and then printed.

The residents of the Eclipse Mill represent a broad spectrum of the arts. The gallery will feature the visual arts including painting, fiber, puppets, sculpture, works on paper, and photography.  In addition Open Studios also offers an art gallery, book store, and pottery studio/ gallery. The corridors of the complex, on four floors, display numerous works by Mill residents.

The Eclipse events are free and open to the public.
