PBS Louisa May Alcott
More Than Little Women
By: Edward Rubin - Dec 27, 2020
Yesterday I watched The Woman Behind "Little Women", the Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) Documentary. See Below Link. I was absolutely gobsmacked, as well as greatly saddened as to how Time and History reduced Alcott to Little Women her best selling book when she wrote tons more. It seems Alcott, if such a thing can be said to be, was ahead of her time. You will be quite surprised at the amount of lust that resided in her heart.
This beautifully acted documentary (Elizabeth Marvel Plays The Mature Louisa) brings back Louisa, her times, her family and her good friends - both gods in my pantheon - Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) and Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862).
This free documentary was a gift to me.
